There's more info on the camera here https://dashcamtalk.com/koonlung-k1s/

PS: Where did you mount the main screen? Are you able to host the pictures somewhere else- they're not displaying.

There are some hidden tabs inside the sunglass holder that you need to press to release the overhead console switch panel. The tabs are located at the rear of the sunglass holder inside it IIRC- the side the furthest away from the windscreen. You need to press them in and then the closest edge of the switch panel can be pulled down and it will pop out.

Once that switch panel is removed you can then access the screws that hold the outer surround and sunglass holder.

Yes I'm sure the US are not ones to have the wool pulled over their eyes, hence they don't have official fuel figures, they have actual expected fuel figures.

I can see they look like similar lamp bases, but the US housing has some kind of stand-off (the 3 screw device) that appears to pull the lamp back into the lens which would make the projected light beam narrower compared to the UK(EU) one.

Well I think it would really be worth writing to Ford technical to ask them what the pegs are for.

I agree considering how difficult and costly it would be for the average owner that would have to rely on the dealer but as any bulb failure should be covered by your 3 year warranty I suspect the thinking by Ford is a lot of owners will probably have changed vehicle before the warranty runs out and then its the second owners problem.

Either that or our crackpot "Health and Safety" rules has something to do with it - we can`t have someone hurting their hand while changing a bulb!

I've read FoCCCus won't work with the latest USA Escape (so I'm guessing the same would apply to a 2017 Kuga.)
If a Kuga mk3 is from Feb 2017 and forward, then it works as it worked fine here, and i still do not think its mk3 :) more like mk2.7

To try and answer your questions in order.
The DPF is a filter that takes out ant particles exhausted from your engine and stops them going into the atmosphere, if it gets clogged then the engine will struggle to run, so when a regen happens it burns all the collected soot so allowing the exhaust to flow through the DPF.
It is not part of the start procedure.
The starter takes it's power from the battery to crank over the engine, if it is breaking down then it might not crank the engine over fast enough, but in your case I think it can crank it fast enough.
The alternator supplies electrical energy to recharge the battery which supplies your starter motor.
The switch on the clutch is an interlock to prevent the car cranking unless the clutch is pressed down, so again I think this can be discounted from your problems.
The air bubbles in the fuel line look like it is leaking air into the fuel system, which is not good.
I still think it's the low pressure (lift) pump in the fuel tank, but that is just my opinion.

Best of luck with the diagnosis.

I managed to make a short video this morning in the rain...

If you look closely you can see air in the pipe and it was 5 attempts to start but can see bigger amoubts of air pushing through when the missus revs the kuga.........

https://youtu.be/ECKT7KvgDRA

Im begining to agree with you Ozekuga on the intank sender unit being at fault....
My mate as said the O rings where the clear fuel pipe is as dirty particles in side that may cause air to slowly draw in as the pipe wont seal on the O ring properly....

Apologies Murcod and Dexter,

I made a mistake in mentioning that my Ford Kuga is a MK3.

My 2013 Ford Kuga is a MK2 Kuga.

Could you please assist with any advice on how I could get my ELM327 to connect to my 2013 MK2 Ford Kuga with the FoCCCus software?

My ELM327 connects fine now with the ForScan and the other OBD software on the disc, which was supplied with the ELM327.

Thanks

I have spoken to ford and im picking up a new fuel filter which is fords own....
The have given me 25% off so its only costing £15 which is £5 more than one from a car parts supplier.....
She also said that there are two fuel filters for the mk1 and ours is a peugeot engine etc it will need the 2010 onwards filter......
So im hoping that the O ring is of a better quality.....

Bulbs are consumable items not covered by a warranty unless the same one blows repeatedly. Ease of access has nothing to do with it.

Just had the replacement fuel filter from Ford fitted....
The diesel in the housing was clear and no cr*p in it....
The new filter bought from ford was different to the copy i bought from eurocarparts a few mths ago
The fitting on the cheap model was different to the ford even the O ring was different........
So here goes.....

This the start of the process of elimination now as after i showed him the video he said that their is definately air in the fuel..
As i bought the filter already we will go from there.....

Next stage i think is the in tank fuel pump if nothing is sorted..

That's awful talk about taking the p**s, same as the battery, that shouldn't be allowed having to take your car to a garage for something like that.

Well someone ought to tell the service dep`t at Allen Ford that as they assured me they would have to dismantle the front end to replace a bulb which would be covered by the warranty - but I don`t believe them for one minute!

I don`t do main dealers unless I really have to!
