It's def 70% wear. They suggest I change the pads in a few months. I didn't think to ask them why the rear had worn more than the front.

If that was a petrol car I would say you have a cold start fuel starvation fault.

As someone above says next step is to watch the rail pressure in real time as the revs peter out and see if the pressure drops.

You don't have a buckled wheel or hard spot on one of the rear tyres do you?

So you dont think that during acceleration the front and rears wheels are being driven at different speeds/power levels hence looking at the AWD power distribution to see if that showed anything.

Scuttle shake, are we saying the car isn't stiff enough or some resonant frequency causing this?

Hi,

How correct is the Kuga 2017 bulb chart below? As Im find that the manual is not all that detailed or has wrong information in it.

Hi
I have a standard dab radio and reception is really poor.
Do you think I just need a new longer Ariel.

Your Kuga is a MK1 is it with a roof antenna. I'd check that its making a good connection with the base first. I dont know the antennae mount for the MK1 so I'm making a stab as the only thing I think you could check as I dont recall anyone on here with a MK1 complaining of poor reception.

Is FM OK?

Welcome to the forum.
The DAB reception in a Kuga is less than average take a look at the running thread on this.

So I test drove the car today, and will be picking it up hopefully Monday, if not Tuesday :D

Was a little disappointed with the speed, as it felt very sluggish, but I think that's just that it doesn't "feel" very fast, the speedo says it pulls quite nicely.

Other than that it was lovely to drive, so looking forward to fully getting used to it.

Thanks for all your advice :)

Glad to hear the car is what you're after.
As it's a very low milage engine it'll probably loosen up as the miles increase.
Also try driving in sport instead of drive, that makes them feel much more eager.

Yeah sport felt a little better, don't know what it actually changes other than holding the gears longer?

I think it's all a combination of a bigger heavier car (coming from a little 170bhp fiesta st), auto gearbox, and much more refined and comfy, that makes it feel slower.

Didn't buy it for speed anyway so happy overall with it :)

Any recommended easy upgrades/accessories?

Yeah, it will feel and handle like a barge compared to a Fiesta ST.

Edit: I owned a Renault Sport Clio 182 Cup a few years back, not very practical but a lot of fun! I have done some simple/ cheap mods to the rear swaybar on my Kuga which has made a big improvement to the cornering.

OK on FM being fine. This thread is full of criticism of DAB but it is primarily MK2 introduced in 2012/13 and it is very poor. I had not seen much comment about MK1 and I put that down to it having an external antennae. The 2016 MK2 seems to have a more sensitive head unit and the latest 2017 MK2 with yet a different head unit and also seems fine on DAB.

DAB sensitivity/reception will drop off, so will FM for that matter, if the antenna has a corroded connection somewhere, but perhaps someone on here with a MK1 can comment on their MK1 DAB.
