It was an issue with the x sports specifically apparently, so that pushed the build date back to 23/12/15. Then obviously it got caught in the Xmas shutdown so it didn't leave Spain until 08/01/16. It arrived in Southampton 26/01/16 and then had to wait for a full transporter until it finally came up to Lincolnshire on Thursday!

They are something of a rare beast in this colour.
Even on eBay or the web there's around five in total.

time will tell if we've made the right choice, but I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks for the reply. Phill.

I don't think 2.9psi above the standard pressure would be a high enough for safe towing. With the Kuga and my previous tow cars I've always used the full load pressure. I have covered several thousand miles towing and have found the outfit stable and the tyres are wearing well with no feathering using full load pressure.

I just got a decent deal on the same model but mine is a lease car so makes no difference to the value of the car. When I finish the lease I just give it back so the reg plate makes no difference.
If you are buying it then when you come to trade it in I am sure that they will offer you less for a 65 plate than a 16 plate even if they are registered a couple of days apart. But if you are getting a decent deal it may be worth it.
I suppose it also depends if you would really like to have the new 16 plate !

Keep in mind that with the expensive fitting of the towbar, the electrics need re-programming. Good towbar fitters do this, poor ones, or DIY ones don't.

Andy,

What does it involve getting the power supply to the relay? Is it simply plugging some wires in to a fuse board or did you have to chop so e wires up?

Thanks

I just need very basic universal electrics with a bypass relay as its just for a bike rack. If it doesn't work then will just go without electrics

I've got the Bluefin tune on a 65 plate 180PS model. Definitely notice an increase in performance (as you should with over 20% increased max power) and the fuel consumption may be marginally better too. Worth the money I'd say. Would be keen to get it dyno'd with original and Bluefin tunes (easy to swap) and see at what RPM the power and torque gains are.

Mm, can I suggest something.
You may have already done this but can you zero the mpg trip and try again

I know it sound daft but I've found on our 2014 tit x awd diesel, it seems to hold onto old mpg.

If that doesn't work, maybe a call to Ford but how long can you keep calm is the answer with them!

My brother in law has a two year old mondesp diesel and he was getting 55 mpg plus. He then bought a caravan and was shocked when it was texturing 25/30 mpg.

Ive never towed in my own motor so I wouldn't know what to expect apart from loss of mpg.

Exact thing I found with a previous Mondeo 140 powershift mix of 50+ solo & 25-30 towing a 1500kg caravan. Especially with the caravan, wind is a killer.

To get it to read texts from an iPhone you have to turn notifications on within the Bluetooth profile for the device within the settings on the iPhone, not sure if it is same on Android.

I never managed to get any apps on my Focus, but I found while it looked messy, it was more intuitive than the current setup.
One thing I find a pain after the Sony Sync 1 I had on a previous Focus is the lack of an easy way to browse the current playlist that you used to be able to do using the joypad controls around the select button.
On my car you have to go via browse which takes you back to the base level where you've got to browse through all media options. A bit of a pain to be fair.

Yeah, our dealings with Ford dealerships haven't been the best so far. Local dealers wouldn't get one in for a test drive when we were looking to purchase one. Ended up hiring one for the weekend instead before buying this one. Never thought of checking mpg in the one we hired. I have done the resets and done actual calculations i.e gallons used at the pump versus miles and that just shows the trip computer is quite accurate. I would have been happy if it was pulling 35-40 mpg but at 23-30mpg Solo it's a bit far off the mark to let it go especially when you consider that it should be lower Road tax due to the claimed mpg. Furthermore, a friend of mine has a lease car company and they can't deal with anything that returns less than 50mpg (they supply organisations like the Police, NHS etc) I never thought I would be so aware of mpg, I just can't believe that my Scooby Wrx is pulling similar mpg lol

I just picked up my titanium x sport 180 manual on Saturday, and is already returning 37mpg with only 100 miles on the clock, so a very tight engine still. I'd suggest there is something quite wrong with yours!
Just a thought though. Maybe the dpf is playing up and doing a regen every journey, or every other journey?
