I'll post this separately so it flags you rmg. Fuse 134 (20amp) is the driver door module fuse which also controls/powers the windows, but of course it also controls everything in the door via CANBUS.

What kind of answer is that to an owner. If the battery is loosing charge is it the battery, did they test it rather than giving what appears to be a guess?

Batteries are still under warranty but probably on a sliding scale.

So is it safe to pull out for 30mins then put back in to do a window reset?

Yes I get around 530 when doing an average of 60mph, the attached is after traveling from Lincoln up the A1 and M1. Air in tank, hows that affect the result?

I think all the Eu 6 (the 150 & the 180) have a better torque spread the the Eu 5 models.
I had 2 Eu 5 Mondeos before the Kuga (a 140 & a 163) and the Kuga (mine a 150 2wd) is much easier to drive at low revs than the Mondeos were even though the Kuga is just a heavy so perhaps the differences quoted between the 163 & 180 will be more noticeable than 150 to 180.
Unfortunately as the Eu6 models have only been around for less than a year (in the UK anyway, not sure on the Spain launch dates) finding used ones may be difficult.

Luckily it is still under the three month warranty provided by the Ford garage.

Is there anyone that has had this done along with the upgrade and has this rectified the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Lee
Officially the Ford stance is that the Haldex AWD unit is not a serviceable unit however the same Haldex unit is fitted to other marques and is a serviceable unit on those vehicles, there's plenty of discussion regarding AWD malfunction and servicing a Ford Haldex unit here:

Hi,

I have a March 2013 registered Kuga MkII.  4x2 TDCi,

I have been looking for a diesel tuning box and always get asked which engine variant I have. 140 or 150 bhp

I know the current models 4x2 is 150BHP & the MK1 before was just under 140BHP.

Does anyone know if the first batch of 2WD MK2 Kugas had the 140BHP engine fitted?

and is there any way of finding out from engine number or id plates fitted to the vehicle?

Also my V5 quotes a Max power of 103 kw which is roughly 140bhp.

Could someone with a 150 BHP model tell me the figure on their V5 please.

Thanks

Daz

I've moved this thread out of the Main message centre and into the more suitable Mk2 Technical forum.

If you want to know what your vehicle left the factory with then try putting your Vin or reg into the Ford Technical and Servicing site (commonly known in these parts as Etis) or there may be some other help in the Mk2 Modifications sub forum where the Mk2 chipping thread resides:

I have been told by the Ford garage that my battery is not covered after 12 months and have opened a case with Ford customer service, I also bought a new Bosch battery for the Kuga, £100.
The Ford garage has since phoned me back and asked me to take my car in for`drawdown` test, they have also offered to fit my new battery for `free`, it doesn`t look an easy job when you see it on `you tube`like changing a battery used to be, another stupid design by Ford.
Anyway we will see what happens tomorrow when I go to collect my car.
Thanks for any advice.
I`m sorry if I have posted my problem in the wrong section as I`m new to the forum and still learning.

Miles to empty depends on your driving.

If you ie drive 50 mph you get better miles to empty than driving ie 70 mph. The computer calculates the miles to empty from the speed you are driving.

I do a lot of driving in the city. When i fill it up i get a low miles to empty. If i take a drive in the country doing ie 50 mph the miles to empty increases.Smile. Taking it to the highway and doing ie 80 mph takes it right back again to a low miles to empty.

Quite right, its all about driving style, many times I have gone on to a motorway and watched my MTE actually go up because (obviously) I`m getting more MPG by driving at a steady 60-70mph rather than stop starting in traffic, it will even its self out over time.

Good day All,

Have just bought a 11/2011 titanium S which has a rear factory camera fitted. I have asked the dealer to fit me front and rear park sensors(special ford dealer offer at the moment)but he says its not possible to have camera AND sensor on the rear.
Can anyone out there tell me if this is correct or has a suggestion to get around it. I have checked in the forum search engine and can find nothing relevant.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Fillco,
Believe it or not I ordered back in August a Titanium X AWD 180 diesel manual with Appearance & Convenience packs and it wasn't built until December 10th !
I only got my Vin from the dealer at that point.
Not with them yet and after last years experience I'm not holding my breath but am hoping for a March 1st collection ....
Still suffering with a broken 5th metatarsal at the moment and can't drive anyway so just have to be patient.
Nobby.

Hi All,
Just for information - though it seems that my order time delays are much higher than others - I have had a call telling me that my next Kuga is now in Portbury ( edge of Bristol ) and waiting to be moved to the dealership - Devon.
As I'm not able to drive at the moment it's going to be a March 1st 16 reg and therefore no rush.
I'm just glad to here it's in the country !

Nobby.

You most certainly can have rear sensors and a rear camera. However, your camera is factory fitted and will display on the facia, but any retro fitted sensors won't be able to display on the facia. But they can still be fitted with say an audible warning.

Great, one month on and the same one stopped working again last night. Same as before, if I tap the lense, it works.

The garage are now contacting Ford to see what else it might be and if the whole unit or some wiring needs replacing. I believe that either should be under the extended warranty, that's what Ford Customer Services told me last time when I ended up paying around GBP90 for the privilege of them fitting a new bulb).

At least they know how to put the front end of the car back together now, having had to have two goes at it before.

Thanks for the response.
So if I understand you correctly then I can have the dealer fit the factory kit front and rear and I will get the warning beeps from front and rear and the normal visual on the dash from the camera
I cant understand what their problem is but they are saying they are having customer complaints about the beeps sounding out when they apply the brakes.

Yes you are correct. Often when retro fitting parking sensors to the front they connect to the brakes so they are activated after pressing the front brake pedal. I find this very convenient. It says active for about 5-7 seconds. But some people don't like it.   But, be under no illusions, these aren't factory fitted sensors. They will be 3rd party sensors. Not a problem, since they are very good. Provided they are fitted by reputable companies. Obviously you're local ford garage is reputable, but they will not be Ford original parts.
