Just had a nightmare with one company supplying side runners

Doesn't say they are based in Turkey so 1st issue was they wanted me to pay import taxes, refused and had a refund of some of the money, they turned up and the end caps on all ends were smashed through poor packing. Wanted me to send additional money to ship replacements, refused again and they were sent, add another week. Then no instructions, so they were emailed and incredibly poor, also didn't match the fitting kit I had, which on investigation looking at other sites for instructions, was not for my model.
So tried to contact again and got nowhere so have now taken out a dispute with Paypal and hoping to get a full refund, although no guarantees that will work. So please be warned when looking for the right bars.

Anyone had any dealings with Direct 4x4 and their kits? don't really want to spend over £250 but the pictures of their bars and fittings look much better than I have seen to date.

If not any other recommendations?

Cheers

New remote and programming from our local Vospers cost £150. That was good value since elsewhere was more expensive.

Hope this helps

Reprogramming a mk5 Vauxhall Astra was simple,

Just put the key in the ignition (turn it on), then press the lock button on the fob (the doors lock and unlock to confirm the re-programming) ...

Shame you can't do something similar using the steering key socket ...

I have to say it looks pretty poorly specced with a lot of the luxuries standard on a Kuga TitX being optional on the Edge.

If you want to see where you're going at night the LED headlights are £1,075.

Spec up the Sport model and you're looking at £43,095!

To be fair LED not the same as Xenon, comparing apples to oranges and not even available on the Kuga. Same priced option on the Mondeo.

Spec up a Kuga Titanium Sport X and your looking at upper £37k

I disagree about the headlights. To be seemingly fitting halogens is something I find staggering. For the kuga to get excellent xenons whilst Edge buyers need to fork out over a grand for the LEDs isn't right. I've a feeling the facelifted Kuga will be the same come 2017 too now that xenon is quickly becoming old tech and LED seems to have caught up.

It's a nice car but spec up that Sport model and you're up there with a high spec Discovery Sport and very close to an Audi SQ5, pre discounts of course.

The ETIS site used to allow registration numbers (so I'd pop in one of the media cars numbers to see what the spec is) , the site doesn't seem to allow it now ...

Just ordered my replacement, end of March delivery.

Pity that we in the UK dont get the Beige leather that Europe do. That maybe the next revision along with LED headlights or something.

It still works for reg numbers, sometimes (cookie expired?) it will reset to the US location and be VIN only. From the home page click preferences and change the country to UK.

Just after the air box.

Will be located in the plastic of the air box before the rubber pipe.

I went for window films (Llumar) to make windos darker and the hole unnoticeable from the outside

I think you will find even with darkened film when you open the doors and the boot light is activated the boot contents are in full view.
On this logic shining a torch through the side windows would give similar effect.
Still no excuse for customers to find solutions to a Ford design problem IMHO.
