Thought I'd heard you can stall the car and restart within a short period of time (safety) without the key being present. I know my Keyless start Mondeo apparently could have been driven until stopped and then it would have required a key present to start. Never tried it.

Hi Eddie,

I'm intending to hard wire my Dash Cam direct to the internal fuse board this weekend, is it the Standard, Mini or Micro Piggyback fuse I need to use?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=310917899244&view=all&tid=544603733021

Also, you used the 116 Fog Light fuse, is there any facility to use a "spare or extra" connection in the fuse board itself?

Regards, Mike. Smile

I had the same problem on my Jag XJ8
It's probably a microswitch in the mirror mechanism at fault - it was water ingress in the case of the Jag.
Jag offer a replacement but I don't know if Ford do.

Hope this helps?

General experience tells me that high mileage turbo cars will at some point need a new turbo.
And, depending on service history, (and if it's got one) the autobox will need attention too.

I would say the price is ok if nothing special.
If you can somehow check on the gearbox service history it should be ok but...as said above, there are a lot available and with lower miles.

Personally I wouldn't but that's me.

Hi Paul, go on tells how many times have you spent looking out of your home window admiring your car lol. Bet everyone does it. Have got a busy weekend ahead, Mudflaps front and rear and Ford Kuga Ownersclub.co.uk decals to fit. Please don't rain this weekend.

Seeing as it's an AWD Kuga with 120k on the clock although Ford say it's not a serviceable item I'd think about getting the Haldex AWD unit serviced and it's oil & filter changed.

There's a thread in the Mk1 Technical sub forum where some members have carried out the service themselves whilst others have had the service done at a dealer using Volvo parts.

Hi all

Got a Mk1 Ford Kuga Titanium and have noticed that if you put the fog lights on, there is what seems to be a beep coming from the passenger side of the car. Happens every 30 seconds until engine is switched off. Still beeps once you switch the lights off

Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Its not a warning beep, similar to ice warning, door open etc via the dash....its more like an old school hourly chime 'casio watch' beep from back in the day

Does anybody know if I can buy the Ford own 4th/5th extended warranty for my 2014 Kuga which was first registed in April 2014 I have tried to get the extended warranty but have been told it should have been bought before the car was first registed! this seems a bit daft as the car comes with a 1 year warranty from Fords them selfs and 2 more after that .So have I been informed wrongly and it realy should be up to 1year after the car was first registed. Can some one with any imformation on this problem that I am having or have any other ideas on what I can do.Thanks to all Dave

Gazwats thanks for getting back to me I have seen that but what does it mean? can I not have this warranty because I did not take out this warranty before I got my car or can I get it up to the first date of it being registed ?Thanks Dave
