I recall reading a while back that Kuga owners should use the three bucket method - 2 buckets as usual plus a third one upturned to step on to reach the roof.![LOL LOL]()

I missed this thread earlier so glad it was mentioned in another one. Have ordered a spare set for winter wheels. Can't imagine being without these so Ford will just have to wait even longer for me to change my car!

Hello all, just a quick question and apologies if this post is in the wrong section.
Basically there is a problem with the driver's side seat belt receiver. A small piece of thread, approximately 1mm wide and 40mm long from one of my girlfriends tops has got stuck and therefore will not allow the seatbelt to latch. Is there anything she can do to solve the problem. I'm currently working away and wont be home until Thursday at the earliest.
thanks in advance

Welcome back I have had mine for 10 days now. It's the best car I have ever had. I haven't even covered 700 miles yet done three different journeys and already getting 42 mpg. Mine is only a zetec but they c****ed up on production line I got reversing sensors, sync hi fi, all weather tyres, day running lights, for no extra cost. Its a AWD powershift its so smooth to drive.

Unless someone knows what they are doing its best not to fiddle with seat belts. If she gently teases the belt back and forth a few times it might release. I got a coat draw tie caught in a similar waya few years ago. It worked for me but it must be done gently.

Like it has parking sensors on the rear bumper and
I didn't opt for those! I didn't pester my dealer about it tho!

Well the Kuga is booked in "yet again" as 2 more limp mode fiascos. Spoke to the service manager and although he doesnt have a problem putting it back on the diagnostics, he said he hasnt had or heard of any cure alls for this particular problem. Iterestlinly hes only come across one, mine, and admits that if there is an update available he wont know till he plugs it in and even then, cant really tell what goes on.
Maybe Ford Dealers should read the Forums as part of their job description, at least theyd be more up to date than most dealers seem to be.
Going to press the point re Oldmans failed steering in person at the same time.
15 days to big tow to IOW with quite a heavy load to pull.

Thanks to you both for your replies
At the moment I just plug the camera in the cigarette lighter socket (I know its permanently live because
sometimes I have left it plugged in for by mistake at night )
I just thought if the socket came out easy I could hard wire to the back of it but I will run a new feed straight from the battery

You guys are right, it's good to have a rant or even a difference of opinion. I am "going back" to ford as I was amazed how much they have changed in the last few years, the last couple of fords I owned were a mk 1 focus (2000) and previous ford was a XR4x4 2.9 (1990) I have had different cars over the years and now only tend to keep them for about 2-3 years max. I too have had a couple of audi's and my present car - Mercedes A-class sport AMG ( December 2012)is the biggest let down so far in all of the cars I have ever had, I have had endless problems, too many to list here but mainly I think to very poor build quality. So many rattles from dash, door pillars, seat belt adjusters, sensor failure....".. All been fixed so far but there comes a point where the car spends more time at dealers than actually enjoying the drive?. So long story short, coming back to Ford, with a Titanium X ordered, don't think I need to cross my fingers any more?

There is another thread from way back which shows a camera installation involving adding a new socket under the dash near the glove box which may be worth a look for you.

Hi all ,I was offered it last year and this year but was unsure ,but was also offered the cholesterol engine clear out at £99 so I am having that done in two weeks time along with the service and mot as she is almost six years old and intend to keep her until she is ten. Has anyone had that done recently if so did it make any difference ?

Its going back to the garage again in just over a week, still have small deposits of oil coming into the header tank so hopefully just a wash/rinse out more importantly they have to replace the plastic chrome effect trim on the front which they have put a gouge into!! and clean the engine bay which looks like its been through the Dakar rally after a dip in the oil fields
That said its great to have her running again......
