Reply to myself LOLLOLLOL
Got it all working. Very simple with the Ford harness and module.
Earth wire was in the wrong pin.
Easy to mix up on the 13 pin plug.
For anyone searching this topic. Car is Kuga 2016 Titanium without trailer option.
I used the Ford branded harness and Ford module box. There are no "hidden" leads to connect.
The fuses shown as being plugged into the trailer module are actually on leads in the harness.
The CanBus leads work spliced into the wires going into the box behind the LHS boot trim at floor level.
This and the other two on the harness plug into the module box.
Power is taken from the fuse 26 splice as shown. The fuse comes with the harness kit.
Enable four trailer items in BCMii Central Configuration.
Latest version of Forscan downloads the SBL file needed. (Did for me anyway)
Didn't "write to backup" yet. Maybe it gives you some info on the dash, dunno till I write it.

BorderKuga: I had this exact same fault come up on my Kuga Instrument Panel Display. I carried my Kuga by my Authorised Ford Dealer and they trouble-shooted the cause of the problem to be a Faulty ABS Sensor. Prior to this Display Fault Notice, the ABS and Traction Control "amber" indicators on the Instrument Panel were intermittently coming up; and then eventually came up permanently every time I switch off the engine and start it back. Also, the "Hill Start Assist Unavailable" also came up on the Instrument Display after this "AWD Overheated Temp. Disabled" because the Kuga computer system bypassed the AWD mode and switched my Kuga Drivetrain mode into normal 2-Wheel/FWD mode. When this occurred I felt a slight "thud"/"Jerk" to the rear, I guess, when the Drivetrain to the rear was disabled

Look, all Kugas with diesel engines have DPF. At least from factory. Some owners(like me) have remove them. If your engine is in good working condition, you should pass MOT with no issues.
However, I have heard that in the UK the MOT guys have started to physically check the presence of DPF.
In that case, they will not let you pass.

With respect, The MOT test in the UK is way different from what you have in Estonia and it changed dramatically last month. You are partially correct. TThe Kug went on sale in early 2008, there was no requirement to fit a DPF until 2009 in the UK hence my advice to the OP to check that his particular car had a DPF from new.

I phoned Ford today to see if they checked my reg would they be able to help me find out if my model had the filter on manufacture, I had a really helpful man, but Im not actually sure he was correct, he said all fords would have had it, and that it would not have passed the MOT if it were missing. He said it is quite common to hear strfange things from the AA. He suggested I getit cleaned

ANY good independent garage can check if you have a DPF.

Five minutes on the ramp and a few quid for peace of mind.

A good long run at motorway speeds will help it to regen if fitted.

I have not made further changes on my car.  I borrowed a defective trailer, where lights did not work, and front panel warned me about blinking light and break lights , so its detecting the trailer, but no visuals, i survive that part for now.

Good to see some other can use parts of my how to for some trouble shooting.

I pulled my entire grille out to vinyl wrap the chrome parts. The badge has two round plastic lugs that are inserted through holes in the grille. Two nuts are screwed on the lugs at the rear of the grille to secure the badge.

You'll probably have trouble accessing the nuts without some disassembly. To remove the entire grille it was a major PITA, but you shouldn't have to got to that extreme.

Hi everyone, I've been trying really hard to find out if I can upgrade my 2011 Kuga sat nav. I mean to take the entire head unit out and replace with a newer version. The problem is on that model that the air conditioning controls all appear to be part of the head unit and there makes replacing it impossible. The internet seems to suggests it's possible but after a few hours of searching I can't find anyone that's done it, seen a photo of one that's been done or any one that sells a stereo that'll fit! Any help would be great. Many thanks!!

Anything is possible.

I think the last time that I looked at it the parts were around £1400 plus the need for a 'tame' dealer for the required re-programming.

Evening all

I have a quick question that hopefully can be answered. Does the UK spec titanium have a washer fluid level warning? Mine ran out yesterday but there was no warning it was going to.

I think the fluid level warning is only fitted to cars with the Xeon headlights. I remember that being asked before in an older post. Might be diffrent now ??

With the current Titanium and ST-Line being available with the Winter Pack (inc headlight washers) there's a chance that such equipped halogen Kugas may have a low level warning. Of course, all the current range may have a warning nowadays.

My ST Line has a warning when fluid is low. But the wife normally calls when she's on the motorway and it's ran out, she doesn't realise that the warning means refill now before it runs out.

I can't recall if our prev Mk2 kuga had a warning or not.

I have a 2017 ford kuga with touch screen voice recognition SYNC 3 system. I have a usb with music on it and it says you can ask the voice command to list genre etc.
When I do it picks up what it assumes to be the genre on the usb but I have a feeling it is a preset genre. For example there is a genre title soundtracks. When I ask it to list soundtracks it list songs I didn't think I have put on the system. I have a folder called soundtracks but it isn't picking that up, is there a way to make it find that list which is mine.
It has gone through the indexing at the start when I plugged the usb into the system

Thanks in advance
