Hi Thechimp,

Welcome to the forum.

All Kugas come with keyless power start but it is only the Titanium X that has keyless entry.

Cheers .

Andy

Thanks. Just can't decide on titanium or titanium x.   Have decided against hands free power gate option.

To ODONO:

I think you're right. Maybe I'm confused, but I think I had noticed that some time ago Ecoboost 1.6 auto was not an option in www.ford.co.uk.

But I thought it was a market decision for UK. Now I have checked it and the option is there. So what? Any problem or failure with the gearbox? Overdemanded? (A petrol model!?, where, in the USA?) But I think this gearbox is made in France...

Thanks for looking HugaKuga, that looks complicated! Wacko for a 40 something blonde woman Embarrassed LOL  It's similar to the one I saw but this one was in the centre of the dash, sorry I didn't make that clear.

More info:

Ford's factory at Blanquefort, France, will start 6F35 gearbox (automatic for the Ecoboost 1.6) production on July, 4th.

Now I understand why mine has been delayed to July, 13th (if I'm lucky enough to get the first gearbox they'll make...). But I'm slighty worried on the possibility of getting the first product of this re-opened plant. More experience would be better.

Arrived in Vancouver on Saturday for a couple of weeks touring the Rockies. My Avis rental turned out to be brand spanking new Escape SEL Ecoboost AWD Auto in White with Chrome 18" wheels (mmmmm, nice?) It was quite funny that the 'agent' tried to sell me a 'managers special' upgrade to a Grande Cherokee with leather and a portable satnav, the Escape has both!!! Way to go on product knowledge Avis.
Trying to come to grips with the Sat Nav and other bits of tech but first impressions are pretty good, but still having reservations with the looks, especially it's backend. The passenger compartment is noticeably larger than my MK1 and the leather seats and dash are a marked improvement. The boot is also bigger, but not by as much as I expected. It was good to compare how the suite cases I took fitted in each of the cars. The engine and gearbox combo seem really good, smooth and very quiet. Im pretty sure the engine is a 2.0 ltr, But none of the literature or door jam stickers show the size. I'll have to venture under the 'hood'.
I'll try to keep posting my opinions of the car over the next couple of weeks and 1000 to 1500 miles together with some pics
