In what respect?

In D it will load the engine up and refuse to down-shift unless you firmly prod the accelerator. In S it's pretty good. My only complaint is the way it will stay in a low gear (for what seems like an eternity) after you've floored it and settled at a constant speed. Leave it in S and it's quite a good set up. Keep in mind I hate autos too.

They're not prone to problems- even behind modified 2.0l EcoBoost engines.

After owning 2 BMWs with their 8 speed autos and an Audi S3 with a 6 speed auto, the Ford box is light years behind in terms of response and refinement.

It's not that common (I've only had it twice in 35 years of driving) but most tyre places seem to know about it.  I think it must happen when there is a particular set of circumstances; tyre brand/model, car, geometry setup and type of driving.

So does it sound like it's caused by the rotation of the wheel/disc?  Can you hear it spinning the wheel when jacked up?

After i got the IPC & BdyCM updated, it is still the same.

No change in display , when its connected.
Since this trailer is not broken i cannot verify if it detects faulty light og breaks.
But since all lights do work as expected and its only the internal car view which seems not to show a trailer, i live with this.

Assuming that updating the software on a Danish vehicle will result in the same effect as in the UK, when a trailer is connected:

1. Rear sensors and rear fog lamps on the car should be disabled.
2. A trailer symbol should appear on the reversing camera screen when reverse gear is engaged. There are no other trailer symbols displayed.
3. If a trailer direction indicator bulb fails, the car indicator warning lamp on the dashboard display will flash twice as fast as normal. Remove a trailer direction indicator bulb and try it.
4. If you have BLIS fitted it should be disabled and a warning message displayed in the information menu.
5. The Electronic Stability Programme will activate Trailer Sway protection.

All this happens with both 7socket and 13socket plugs?

Something is probably wrong, because when i took a right turn during driving, the rear sensor reacted and i could the trailer in the right rear window, so they are still enabled although software reports all ok.

So either another software update is needed, Westfalia electrics are not properly connected, or something is not removed when that westfalia wiring kit got connected.

I would hate going to Ford and have them confirming wiring kit is bad ;(

But should lights on trailer work normally although software seems not to be affected?
Or the westfalia wiring is almost correct, and something just isnt right.

Mk2 Technical : Jacking and Axle stand points?.

Hello all, just looking for suitable points for (trolley) jacking the Kuga up and fitting axle stands.

Seems the sill points are the only real option but are there any other suitable sturdy points to jack up under the front of the car?.

Don't like jacking on the sills if I can avoid it, will be laid under the car taking the undertray off so want it nice and safe.

Any comments appreciate!.

My sentiments entirely, jacking at sills twists the cabin. I think I asked the same question in February 2014 when I got my first MK2. I described jacking the car up by the sills as in-elegant.

I dont think there is anything at the front, like the Mondeo you could use a trolley jack under the front knuckle area, if you did that on the MK2 Kuga  the tin foil the arm is made of would crumple.

I use a trolley jack with a protective pad for jacking the front up at the sills, and fortunately the trolley jack will go under the rear spring cup, so you can just jack the wheel up.

After some thoughts around it, maybe Forscan is not changing the right value, which i need for a 13socket wiring kit, since it only offers 1 option, and i do not remember its value.
Where Focccus offers both 7 and 13 socket support and values 2 and 5 are the change in the xml.

Ill check this later.

Is it possible to add the sub that came from some early MK2 Kuga's which had the premium speaker system to the the more newer Kuga's?
As the premium speaker system only comes with 9 speakers now. Could there still be plug and play loom there?

It is the sump plug socket size that I need. I have a 27mm for removing the oil filter.
