Mk2 General Discussion : What Car?!?!

I did recently test drive the CX5 and I chose the Kuga - but motoring journalists seem to see Mazda as a premium marque. I was unimpressed as I found the CX5 cabin dowdy and uninspiring and didn't feel the cars drive was anything special. The Kodiaq is brand new but why test it against the Kuga - it is bigger and surely the Edge would have been a more appropriate comparison.

Ford had a long period (1965 - 1990) when it was characterised by old fashioned risk averse design, with all the decisions made by accountants. With many journos that has stuck with them, despite Ford having since then been highly innovative and design leaders, and it often colours their assessments.

You find one on google, if you search for it and leave out the ST line, its sold at a UK car dealer. I think someone else asked the same some weeks back.

OK, so can you manage to test Fuse 109 in the passenger compartment fuse box and see if you have power actually at that fuse? You may also have a close look to make sure none of the main connectors has not come out of the fuse box because if there isn't power at F109 one or more of the main feeds to the passenger fuse box from F3 and/or F4 have disconnected.

Very nice, what size engine and type of gearbox, is it AWD?
The pixelated number plate must be handy if your snapped by a speed cameraThumbs Up

The connector that may be partially disconnected will be one with some fairly substantial cable sizes going into it compared to the rest, and it may be one of 2 green connectors.

Hi My alarm On Kuga 1.5 (66 PLATE) has gone off in the wee small hours 3 nights in a row. No-one near car and nothing appears to have been tampered with.
Any suggestions/fixes as I ended up leaving the car unlocked from 3AM this morning so my neighbours and myself could get some sleep. I will be booking it into garage on Monday but obviously have Sat and Sunday night yet.
Thanks.

Hi all new to this, I have a 2011 ford kuga with 2 remotes both stopped working unable to unlock car ,so I changed the batteries, but they still did not work, had a trip to local dealers they wanted £105 just to plug it in,after a bit of research on various conversations, using the key from 1 of the remotes I locked both remotes in the car for 1 minute, opened the car with the key and disarmed the alarm by pressing the engine start button , after about 10 seconds both remotes started to work can now lock and unlock  with both remotes , hope this may help anyone with similar problems . Ta John

I knew I'd read that somewhere in then past and I'd just suggested it to Clithes (wiring problem .. bad earth? thread) in a private message to him last night as he has a remote thats not working and I wondered if it had been deactivated. It didn't work though, but he may have been given a fob not working when he bought the car.

Good confirmation.

Oh right, Magic.  It from the Mondeo days where fobs for a car would re-enable if placed in the car and a lock and unlock performed.

I made it very clear if it did not turn up within 12 weeks ,he was to cancel the order.
