here`s what I have noticed yes windows all missed up brand new 65 every time it had rained when we open the doors water runs out the bottom of the doors, and drops right on the door frame corner and spills into the car no matter front of rear door it just does, so the door holding water and that alone can cause misting inside and then the draining when opening them.

Thanks, looks like the 'siren' part of the alarm system was faulty in some way. They have removed this and not seen the problem since.

Thanks for the reply, fingers crossed this is it!!

Mine doesn't seem as bad as others on here but my new one mists up more than my old one. I don't think it's as well built as other one either. I'll have a check for any leaks when I get the chance.

Welcome, hope all goes well, we have had our Mk1 Zetec now for 6 years, 7 years old (74K) and it is still fantastic, looks, driveability, reliability etc which is why we still have it, usually change at 3 years. Ironically had the same car as you previously which we had loads of problems with Engine/gearbox wise.

Values are holdng well too.

Taken from Ford Etis.

On my MK 1 I had the gearbox oil changed as suggested by fords and the dealership, keeps the warranty in order, if there is any left on yours.

Our Zafira was starting to give bother as well, my wife said it lost power twice in the last couple of weeks especially pulling out of junctions, we've been eyeing up Kuga's for about the last year and the time was now right to buy one. As for the value's yes they seem to hold on well, I would have liked to have come up to at least a 2011 model but hey ho the one we got is mint, just need to try and sort out the drivers window bounce.

Theres a section in handbook which descibes the procedure for resetting windows and is farely straightforward. If by any chance you didnt get the handbook you can download it from Ford UK....Good luck and enjoy

Our first new Kuga Titanium had the same problem of misting up but when we phoned the Ford garage they told us to set the Air Conditioning to come on and stay on, it is now not for cooling but for conditions the air to take out the moisture.
It worked for the 3 years and is working even better in our new Kuga Titanium X with the full size panoramic sunroof and heated front seats.

This is a very valid point, air conditioning is not just for cooling. In winter it removes the damp out of the air and stops condensation. It therefore leaves drier air in the car and helps prevent that early morning damp inside the car.

OOps sorry for the last empty reply I pressed the wrong button,
Anyway Hi all,
Its funny how most of the Ford garages "Have never heard of this problem before", in my case they replaced the oil & filter as a "good will gesture" although it was still in warranty.
I have to date not had any other problems but I will be replacing the oil & filter on a regular basis from now on.
Ford should have owned up that there is a problem with the Haldex system & that regular servicing should be carried out, It would have made customer relations far better & enhanced the standing of the company I believe.
Happy New Year.

Our first new Kuga Titanium had no problems but our new Kuga Titanium X was only 4 weeks old and it had a couple of fuel fills from our large and very busy ASDA fuel pumps that we always use when possible but the wife went North for a wedding and had to fill up at a New Tesco store with Tesco fuel at their new pumps. She had a quarter tank and filled up to full as she was well North off Inverness and had to get to the South side of Edinburgh but didn't even get South off Aviemore.
When the RAC breakdown turned up his first questions were have you filled up with fuel recently and was it from Tescos. As he knew more she just said yes, why?
He replied their fuel is cheapest for a reason, the main being they buy the leftovers from sea tankers or storeage tankers which are full of crap! ASDA get through the problem because of the turnover so the on site tanks are always full until one gets low then the remains get filtered into an overflow tank hence keeping their fuel clean. My 4 week old Kuga had to get put on a transporter and taken to my local garage as the Particle Fuel Filter was beyond repair.

What do you think of the Tiger Eye Metallic paint? Looks better to me with the black skirt painted to the floor?

Just got back from ordering a Titanium X Sport in Ruby Red and quoted the lowest of the 6 Car Wow prices I had been offered and they matched it without any proof, just shows you what discount you can get.

Thanks for the replies.

I am leasing this rather than buying it but am still finding that the lease companies are willing to bargain a bit.

Just been offered the Titanium X Sport for just a bit more than the Titanium x too just to add to the dilemma.

Remember that neither Titanium or Titanium X come with any parking sensors as standard which to me would rule both out as the standard spec.

I have a 150 & it does not feel underpowered!! Personally I may not miss the 180ps too much, but the 4x4 & auto I would be more tempted by.
Of all the options I have on my Titanium (see below) the only thing that is standard on the Titanium X is 18" wheels (though a different style to the optional Titanium ones).
I had Xenons on my previous Focus Titanium X & I thought I would really miss them, but with Osram Nightbreakers fitted (very easy job on Kuga) granted they are not as good as the Xenons, but far better than I feared they would be.
For me, how much do you want full leather & panoramic roof. The electric tailgate without keyless would not be missed by me that much.

As you are leasing then you don't have to think about resale vs what colour you want, you can just have what you want!!!

Wow for a 180 Titanium X Sport manual with Metalic paint and tow bar had nothing under £29000 which is a lot more than Drive the deal.

Thanks for the reply.

The offer I have at the moment on the titanium x has parking sensors fitted as an extra.

The latest offer is for the Titanium X Sport which has the parking sensors, rear camera etc..  It has 19 inch wheels too. Imagine they will be expensive to replace tyres !!

I agree the AWD and Auto sound like a good option to think about too.

I basically had a budget which I stretched slightly for the titanium and then stretched a bit more for the Titanium X and now being tempted to stretch it a bit further for the sport version !
