Well finally took delivery this week after almost 6 months wait and it was all worth it. Only decent photo so far with the awful weather. Will post some more soon.

Thanks Nobby. I think the white really suits the sport body kit.

Great choice of model and colour, although I'm not biased.

Hi Jamiera
My MK1 2012 Kuga is the same. I think its when the oil is cold. I just dip the clutch a couple of times and that usually cures it.

Hi All

After the recent fuel tank / prop shaft issues , i'm wary of any noises and out of the ordinary problems with my AWD Kuga

My wife has been driving it quite a lot ( and she drives it like she stole it !) but she has reported intermittent Hi pitch squealing from the passenger side rear when cornering to the left especially , but it does do it occasionally if the road is bumpy or rutted as well.   I have had it happen a couple of times , and i don't know what it is , as it doesn't happen all the time

A friend has suggested either a brake disk is distorted or a wheel bearing might be starting to play up.   Also suggested from a mechanic she knows is that it may be the traction control operating the brakes that causes the squeal

Can anyone suggest what the most likely will be ? I know all the pads and disks were replaced about 12 months ago

I see on the forum that there is a few threads on rear wheel bearing problems , i hope its not that - but how much is that going to cost if it is ??

Cheers all

Might be the steering rack seals ... ?

..."The service manager said that they've found that the normal issue is the seals on the rack start to break down and block the filter in the fluid reservoir. The blocked filter causes the pump to struggle to pull enough fluid through causing the foaming and noise.
The original official Ford fix was to replace the pump. They obviously found that didn't work and were directed to replace the rack, pump and reservoir in one hit.

The dealer said that they now open the reservoir up and inspect the filter before doing anything other work to see what; if any; debris is inside. They have replaced a large number of racks and reservoirs only, flushed the system and left the pumps alone. None of the cars have come back in and the pumps have been silent after the repair. He claims the pumps pulley bearing; being external and do not need fluid lubrication; and the the fact the filter is only restricting the fluid slighty causes no internal damage."...

Is it a juddering (shaking of the car) or a vibration through the floor ...

Might be worth checking the exhaust, particularly the flexible joint just under the driver floor ... ?
I thought my clutch was on it's way out ... but it was the exhaust touching a mount ...

Wheel bearings aren't a big expense (if done at an independent garage)  ... £60-70 ...

I don't think it sounds like a wheel bearing though ... (high pitched squeal?)

If it is the brake system then try a few very hard stops from speed.
Like speed up to 30mph/50kmh and hit the brakes HARD. Do that a couple of times and see what changes.

Once more, this feels very similar to my EGR problems.
My car was doing the excact same thing along with engine stopping.
After EGR delete, this went away.

Thanks for replies.
the juddering feels like the whole engine gearbox and exhaust are going to shake themselves out the bottom of the car but this only happens when moving away for the first couple of times from cold.
Apologies tarmo I am not sure what the EGR is or how to fix it.
Thanks again.

Hello, long time reader first time poster.
Kuga Mk2, 178kw petrol 2L in Magnetic

What is the best way to get the most out of the lights for night driving?

Simply buy higher output Halogen bulbs?
Add LED strips and upgrade DRL bulbs?
Try and run HID bulbs in the headlights?
