Was the underground car park near the bridge and you drove onto the bridge? I can see the bridge suspension cables causing reflections of signals and preventing the SATNAV from receiving a low enough error rate for it reliably give location. Unusual but it does happen. Maybe the latest SATNAV isn't as good at ignoring reflections.

Coming back from a walk in the peak district and travelling back under what is called the Tinsley viaduct in Sheffield, a mass of metal cross supports. Noticed our Trekking SATNAV was still on and it had shown a maximum speed of 193mph. It didn't surprise me that could happen with a Walking SATNAV.

I have been calling dealers to get a second key sorted and upon speaking with the parts team they tell me I have keyless entry!

I’m not sure I have, if I have shouldn’t I have the little rectangle on the door handles?

I don’t think I have but how can the vehicle be registered as having them?

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers Daz

Keyless entry doesnt have the little black button now, there is a thumb sized recess on the handle in its place to lock the car and unlocks when you put your fingers inside the handle recess before gripping the handle

It's not July 1st.

Last working day is 27th July.  They are down for 3 weeks, first day back is 20th August.

My dealer was wrong then, thanks for that Mark, he based his advice on there being no 'builds' on orders he placed from 1st July onwards and a 'flurry' three weeks later. Looks like some will have a longer than expected wait.

Thanks Phoneman,
My wiper has a plastic shroud around it, which prevents me from turning the arm to 90 degrees. I took it to my local garage, where my mate found that there is a clip, which is really difficult to access, that you have to push in, then push the blade towards the glass. Thanks again.

Is there a glossary of what the symbols mean? My 2014 map shows lots of red lines at certain locations, which makes me think that the road is closed, but when I get there all is ok??

I was planning on updating this year, but when I rang Ford, they said no release date was planned. In all honesty, I don't rate the system, especially for live traffic!!

My update was classed at the 2018 update and I can confirm it has roads on that were just finished end of 2017 (A1 Teesside for one).

It would have passed an MOT last year if the emissions were within tolerance but everything changed in May 2018 (emissions levels were lowered) and removal of a DPF from a vehicle to which one was originally fitted also became an offence with a fine of up to £1000.

I would seriously advise getting it checked by a competent MOT station. If it was 'pre-DPF' then you have nothing about which to worry. If it was 'post-DPF' then you have a significant issue.

Yes it can (but DO check that it was fitted in the first place).

Bloody fortunate that it's a popular car as they are available for around £300 plus fitting (they are over £3000 on some Audis).
