We take it that's your car in the video at then op of the page? Would be nice to be able to actually hear it,

The bing bongs mask the audio a bit in that video, but on your first attempt on your car does it stop cranking on its own and importantly after how long?

Yes it's my car. I will record a new video. It would be better from outside with open bonnet?

Sorry I'm not sure what you talking about, when car stop cranking...

When you turn the key or press the start, engine turns over and will stop cranking (turning over) under the starter motor when the engine management thinks it has started.

In your first attempt to start sounded like the starter motor had not engaged properly.

Re was it your car, was confused when I saw Russian on the Dash Smile

After 30 months and 35,000 miles I've only got one chip on the nearside corner of the bumper. I've been meaning to sort it for about a year now.

A few people have said that the Premium system doesn't sound premium but having Ford branded speakers sounds a bit dodgy, Ford still say Sony speakers on the website. Do you definitely have the Premium system fitted? Tweeters at the top of the rear doors?

Another thing to look out for to make sure it is a Tit X Sport is the colour coded bodykit and sunroof, as these were also standard.

Worth considering if another drive or two doesn't clear it.

Makes you wonder whether they do actually inspect it, or just take the car for a 20 minute joyride to clear it Smile

You really need to read the fault code that has triggered the management light as it might not be solely the DPF it could be the pressure sensor so it would help to know the code.

A garage did read the code. I'm afraid I don't know what the code was, but they did say it was the DPF

Mine is from 2010 and with Haldex IV with bigger haldex flange (because of Powershift) where propshaft flange goes inside a bit. Can't remove the propsahft flange sideways.

Another mechanic who tried to remove it has done same job with similar Kuga so he is very familiar with the design. Unfortunately it is very rusted from our salty roads.

If you look Volvo forums with same Haldex, there you can find others who have the same problem. They have even used heat to get rust brake loose...

Tried to use my sync 3 satnav today. Put in a destination of a well known pub/restaurant with full address and post code and i got a "not known" response. Then i just put in the post code only for the pub/restaurant and it found it straight away. Anybody else had this problem or is it a poor satnav system.

Well if there is no pins in the flange, and only bolts are holding. Why not remove bolts, engage handbrake and put it in gear. It should break loose the driveshaft from the haldex...oh wait. Not this would not work because Haldex is not always engaged.
I guess heat is the way to go.
I know very well what you are talking about with salt and rust. I regularly drive to Finland and there is actually less salt than in Estonia. It just makes everything rust so much faster.

Mk2 Technical : Sync 3 Update (released February)

Subject: Sync 3 Update (released February)
Posted: 09 Apr 2018 at 3:21pm

So I've been onto Ford about the lack of climate control function/display with Sync 3 (as I'm sure the temperature reading is now smaller than previous models, which is difficult to read when driving) and also the DAB truncating text issue and their reply is to book it with the local dealer and 'Please be aware we will not be comparing yourcurrent SYNC against previous operations'.

I have also raised the issue that there are no release notes with the Sync 3 updates, as it now appears to be our responsibility to complete the updates and it would be nice to know what has changed and if we need to update, however, I have been advised 'Ford Motor Company will not be providing youwith the full details of the updates and what is changed in each release'.

Not really the response I was after considering the cost of the car I have just purchased from them!!
