It's probably just one calliper.  Didn't your friend say it needed a calliper?  It may not need a new one; it could be the piston or slide pins causing the problem and these can often be fixed without replacing the calliper.

Many thanks. Yes my friend mentioned calipers but he never even touched the tyre so hard to believe what he said. Car is getting the brakes and pads replaced on Wednesday so could this be related, the 100% wear of pads and discs and the calipers issues?

Hi guys, new member here so be gentle, I have read previous posts on the subject but would like a bit of reassurance.
I have seen a set of new snowflake design 17" alloys I would like to fit to my 2017 mk2 kuga, keeping my 17" mk2 wheels for winter use and add winter tyres. Quite happy to stay with the 17" size.
The rim size, pcd and c/bore are the same but the dealer says they will only fit a mk1, as a ford parts dealer he can only say what is compatible with that vehicle.
Will these fit ok as long as I fit a set of tpms sensors to these wheels also or is there something else I am missing like calipers fouling?

You cant get them for the St line, Ford dont do them. Its the same scenario as the Titanium x Sport, body kit fitted so mudflaps are a no no

If you have 100% wear on pads you would have metal on metal making a horrendous sound, and more importantly no brakes

Can you not get a cable made up by an auto electrician.
Forget the 6 metre supplied cable and get a cable made up to connect both cameras with no joints to worry about.

There are lots of threads on this subject on here, 17/18/and 19 inch wheels are standard fit for the MK2 so they should fit, there is a problem fitting 16 inch wheels to a MK2 after a certain build date because of the difference in caliper size. Something to do with the new electric hand brake.

Have read the posts, no better place to find out, I just couldn't understand why the dealer said they were mk1 only but I guess they are just going by the book. Cheers for the reply. Didn't want to order them and find out there was another factor.

Have you compared the off set and width? They're about the only other measurements that could cause fitting issues.

A lot of dual channel cameras use special cables. I think Blackvue do sell longer cables, IIRC they use coax. Street Guardian use some sort of special plug- they're who I had the discussion with about 6m not being long enough.

What brand camera are you using Ginger_ale?

Hiya folks.
Something strange has happened, I can now see the number plate on the screen when reversing. I can see no signs of damage, and the lens seems secure. Any thoughts?

It's a software update. My car was serviced on 29th March and the recall was already on the job sheet print out ready for when I took it in.

The camera I Have got is an aukey one. I bought it after a recommendation on a YouTube channel. The cable appears to be a mini at each end but one of the questions on Amazon says it's not a standard one.
