I guess its style that they fit 18" to the Titanium X and maybe all weather tyres need a bit more sidewall so they fit 17" and M+S to others.
Ford I'm sure will deny there has been anyone else mentioning this vagueness of steering and there wont be just us two either that will have noticed it. If I can gather some evidence I'll post up. It shouldnt actually take me long to do a test on the steering if the fuse I have identified actually powers the PAS pump circuitry, but at 5amp rating, its seems a very small fuse for power steering.
I'm in dispute with Ford regards a vibration between 1250 and 1500 RPM (on the steering wheel and car body) they have an engineer calling this week to look at it. Ford ask me to carry out tests on 2 other Kugas at the dealers, which I did, and took vibration traces and both cars exhibited exactly the same fault and the same level of vibration so the design fault is undisputed. I suspect all Kugas (Mk2) have the vibration and Ford have ignored it. I'd post the graphs up but I'll do this after the engineers actually seen them himself this week.
BTW its Fillco (Phil) not Kuga King, that's something that the site puts up.
I visit South Links quite often along the A17
Look down the page on this link, where some very reasonable prices of complete wheels are. Read the last 2 pages of the thread. I have Nokian D3 and seem to have a nice lateral tread, though not used them in anger as there wasnt any snow that winter to talk about.
