Hi, new kuga owner and already made a stupid mistake :( I have a 2011 diesel zetec. I only received one remote key from the dealer. I wanted to test how the emergency key blade worked to start the engine. I popped the cover of the ignition on the steering column to start the engine. However, I couldn't see a clear slot to insert the blade, just a plastic honeycomb grid. I inserted the key to try and slot it in somewhere and it slipped inside the ignition area and now it's gone, or at least I can't see where on earth it is. I'm confused as to where the actual slot for the key is? Annoying now that I dont have a blade to put in it any more, guess I will have to go to the dealer.
