Subject: Flashing red light above the Info light

Driving along this morning the red light adove the info light in between the rev counter and speedo started to flash quickly, no other warning lights came on. I pulled over straight away and consulted the owners handbook, which revealed nothing. I started up again no flashing light and no problem. Has anyone got any ideas.
