Mmm, very strange!
Maybe its interfering with the sat nav itself then? As moving the dash cam away from the centre line of the car has a major impact on the GPS signal. I've just gone and re-positioned the dash cam to the very left of the windscreen and now I'm getting 8 satellites!
The noise is apparently caused by the DC converter in the 12v plug, so it could be also caused by phone chargers etc in theory.
You can see how many satellites if you press the "NAV" button, then scroll all the way down to "Special functions" and then select "GPS info
I will test it out on the road tomorrow and report back.
