Ah Colin McRay was excitingly reckless.
While assisting with radio communications on the the Dalby Forest stage of the Mintex Rally in the 80s, on an intermediate 'PARC' area because someone had sabotaged a stage, he eyed up one my stainless steel antennae on my then Ford Orion, wanting it to secure is Cosworth exhaust from falling off. Explaining that I required the antennae to provide emergency communications, he replied that he required it allow him to win the stage, Beggar (a word like that) the emergency radio. He was quite determined to remove the antenna until I told him that I had some thick copper wire in the boot. Phew
Of course he drove off, flat out.
BTW I just drive my Kuga how I feel on the day, never recklessly of course.![Smile Smile]()
