When I fitted Led DRL's I also had this problem with interference causing the DAB to cut out.
I cured it using Ferrite suppressors clamped around the cable preventing it becoming an arial for the RF generated.
A quick fix and cheap, worth a try before you replace the cable.

Don't know if this will help but the new vehicle tow plug has to have an adapter so as to connect 7 pin socket from trailer/ caravan to vehicle.

Most modern vehicles wiring are can and if you have say normal builds on the front and led units on rear you have to have what is called load dump module this basically puts a resister in line to simulate normal bulb function as standard bulbs have a resistance where led do not .

Hope this helps

Hi  I have an error message on my sat nav screen "please insert original data carrier" ive been on youtube and followed instructions to remove SD card (not disc), cleaned and put it back, but error message still there. Any ideas what the problem might be? Also been to ford, they tried an update but didn't work, they say i have to take it in at a cost of £100 per hour, i cannot afford to pay that amount of money. Any help would be gratefully received. I own a Kuga 2012 Titanium X AWD

Mk2 Technical : TPMS not working?

This, of course, presumes that the last time the tyres were inflated the TPMS was updated/reset via the instrument cluster menu.

The whole point of TPMS, and my understanding and previous experiences of it, is to provide a notification as soon as 1 or more tyre's pressure has dropped below the pre-set threshold although I have no idea what that threshold is!

If it doesn't react to uniform deflation you could potentially be running, uniformly, on 4 almost flat tyres.

I was certainly expecting to be alerted it they dropped by more than 5-10.

Yes I did reset the TPMS last time I checked the tyres and again yesterday.

I may experiment and drop the fronts by 0.4 bar and see if I get a warning.

The Guard ST-Line pictured in the gallery is also registered as green. I've just had a look at the Guard Mondeos on Autotrader and they all come back as green.

I'd get back on to Ford and ask them if they've got it right.

It is in the Kuga brochure as Guard Grey, that is why I questioned it with Ford customer services, they referred it UK DAC, they have sent me a letter addressed to DVLA confirming that the Ford motor company systems confirms Kuga Guard (Grey),not Green as stated on the V5 document

Try living on a small island. 4,000 miles and the 'Oil Service Light' has appeared so that can only mean one thing Re-gen time. Luckily I have it booked in for a service next week so do it during the service. Unfortunately the vehicles do not get hot enough over here and it does cause problems.

Just picked up my second Kuga, a '66 reg 2.0 2WD Mk2, my old 2009 car served me well but maintenance was getting expensive.  I use a dashcam and in my old Kuga I was able to link off a supply in the passenger compartment fuse board for my 'ignition on' power supply.

In the new Mk2 Kuga the existing 12v outlets are all permanently live, I need something that is only powered when the car is in use.  Having checked all three fuse boards I find that all fuses appear to be permanently live.

Is there a source somewhere that I can connect to for 'ignition only' 12v feed?

Apologies for what may be a daft question, but does this mean that you need to leave the car ticking over for a few minutes if you happen to notice the 'regen ticking noise from under the dash' at the end of a journey?

Apparently, Fuse 85 is the one to go for, 7.5A and ignition controlled.

If its the non touch screen unit, they are about £600 refurbished.

I think there is a fuse in the back of the head unit, as well as one in the fuse box.

There should be a card in the fuse under the glove box with the fuse numbers and what the control.
