You should have them my friend ? I've just looked at Fords website they come standard on the Titanium Model and standard on the Titanium X but on the Zetec Model you have to buy a pack if you want the following.
Automatic Front Windscreen Wipers
Automatic with rain sensor (includes auto-dimming rear-view mirror and automatic headlights)
Part of Pack for Zetec | Titanium Standard | Titanium X Standard
So like I said before you should have them, but even on the Focus you could turn off the lights and wipers manually and use them manually. check to see if both switches are in the auto mode on the Kuga, you might find that the lights and the wipers are set on manual mode and not on the automatic setting.
Page 52 of the user manual tells you how too turn them on automatically and you can even change their Sensitivity
Switching the System On
Switch the system on using the information display. See Information Displays (page 68).
Turn the switch to the autolamps position. See Autolamps (page 50).
The indicator will illuminate to confirm when the system is ready to assist.
Note: The indicator will only illuminate when it is dark and headlamps have been switched on.
Note: The system may take a short time to initialize after first switching the ignition on, especially in very dark conditions. The high beam will not automatically switch on during this time.
Setting the System Sensitivity
The system has three sensitivity levels which can be accessed via the information display. See Information Displays (page 68).
The set level determines the speed at which the high beam will be restored after detected traffic leaves the field of view.
Manually Overriding the System.

![]() Hi to all on the forum been looking for a while. Yesterday I took delivery of titanium 163 awd ordered middle of September. Now done the grand total of 70 miles. What a good driving vehicle it is to drive already getting 33mpg. No issues so far with the vehicle. The tyres are hankook with m+s on them, anyone any experience of these tyres in the snow. Trying to decide if I need winter tyres or not. The only slight niggle is I swapped from a 61 plate titanium focus. That had rain sensing wipers and mood lighting would have expected the same, but there you go should have asked I suppose. Will update later when done a few more miles. 😁 |
