Hello fellow Kugarites
I have now owned my Kuga Titanium x for a few weeks now, I switched from a Jaguar X type as I wanted a diesel and something with a higher driving position. Was fortunate to find a top spec Kuga with satnav, reverse cam, usb auto lights etc. Really pleased with it indeed but I can not live with the arm rest. My previous two cars Audi & Jag had nice centre arm rests both leather and padded.
This one in the Kuga is hard featureless plastic and my elbow just hates the dam thing!
I found a leather cover on ebay but want to know if any of you out there have fitted one, how easy it is and if some padding can be added before covering, like some foam rubber say 5mm thick.
Heres the cover http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280775109381?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
I know it will be a fiddle to get on especially if you apply glue to the armrest first as I will have to watch I dont get it on the outside of the cover. I just really want to know if there is enough give in it to apply some foam.
Shame Ford have cut the corner with this really, I have the full leather interior with white or grey stitching (I cant tell!) and it would have finished it off nicely. seems there are a few things Ford got wrong like not illuminating the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel!
thanks in advance.
Mike
