Well, the Dealer ordered up a new tow-bar assembly to replace the Ford factory fitted unit (horizontal bracket plus the the detachable arm) and they were fitted to my car on Monday the 20th October, towed the caravan and I STILL the get the clonking! Disconnected the caravan and could move the arm a small amount, turn the locking wheel which frees the arm then released the wheel and the arm feels solid again, until the caravan is connected then we are back to square one.

Looking on the Bosal website (their after market company one) my unit looks like their Oris AK41 unit, but it talks about the three-ball locking system, my unit has one large and one small locking ball visible, what locking balls do other Kuga owners have on their factory fitted detachable tow bars please??
