Dealer Experiences : Good and bad.

I had a trade in with a small amount of finance outstanding, the car had enough equity to cover the downpayment on a Contract Hire as above, and there was one available in a colour I liked.

Oddly, after half an hour going over mine with a bodywork man (had some battle damage on back bumper) they said it would do, but wouldn't givew me the trade in price.

I asked if they could get the Kuga over so I could make absolutely sure that was what I wanted - told no prob. The it didn't arrive, and I kept getting told "it's at the Compound" or "it's safe".

Then I got told my car wasn't really worth what they needed - but still wouldn't say what it was worth. Next, still no Kuga available for me to just sit in, even thought they had 2 on site, but nothing could be done till 20/10 and they needed another £200 off me as my car was £100 short on value. Queried  why £200 if the deal was short £100, got told that the way it is.

Having doubts, 1/10went for 2 online valuations, Trench Vauxhall who immediately offered me £2600 in writing, and the main Ford dealer who offered £2500, enough so no money changed hands, and they had the car in their stock. 4 1/2 hrs in Furrows showroom, the deal was agreed and signed off on. I was happy and much less stressed. Last Monday Novaford phone and suggested if the Forrows payment had cleared my finance, I could tell them and they could put the application in and snatch the deal away from Furrows, an idea I would have nothing to do with. Then they sent my wife an email, trying to get her to lean on me.

All very odd, as I'm told there's little money in a Motobility sale, unless there was something going on with my trade in? Furrows have done all the paperwork and pushed it through in 6 days, car will be available mid week. and I'm far less stressed.
