Had a quick look at the wiring diagram and it seems the lead is one piece from the socket to comm module above the glove box. How much is the socket lead assembly? I bet a lot of that cost you have been quoted is re-routing the cable. A cheaper way could be to remove the old socket and solder the leads locally to the existing wire.
