Hi bigt5555,
Don't panic. Read the other posts in this area and you'll get the whole picture.
Basically, get down to the dealership ASAP and get the PCM upgrade (engine management software) and also a new air filter just incase as this is sometimes a factor.
After that, hopefully all will be ok and you can enjoy your Kuga as nature intended !
I had nearly 4 months of this problem until it was solved - it seems - with this upgrade about 3 weeks ago.
I am surprised your kuga didn't have this update before you had the car though.......!

Did a big caravan tow to Dorset and back over the last week and the car performed perfectly.
25 mpg towing, 40 mpg just car around Dorset on a and B roads.....and a few dirt tracks.....thanks sat nav, lol !
