Subject: Remove plastic cap from wheel nut ?

Unless you have specifically fitted or have had fitted caps that you know to be plastic, the normal bolts have a metal sleeve over them that is not designed to just pull off, though some ham fisted dealers and others that remove wheels as a business have a habit of wrecking these sleeves with air tools when removing bolts carelessly. - this action renders the supplied wheel brace useless as with the sleeve off it is too large for the remaining size bolt head. ( this is usually discovered when getting a puncture on a dark night miles from no-where when it is pouring with rain and one has left their mobile at home !)
