Hi I had same problem this weekend, less than 3k on clock, picked up caravan for 1st time since buying car, 20 min down the road, light came on whilst overtaking on motorway, rang Ford they said to ring AA, but they wouldn't be able to diagnose it as they don't carry any equipment like theirs??? Told them I was towing a caravan, they told me I would have to leave that somewhere and let the AA tow me to a Ford Dealer, anyway I pulled over, switched off, left it for a few minutes to let fault clear, carried on, OK till I needed more power, rang the AA and liaised with them to meet at service station, waiting time 10 mins, diagnosed with "Max Air Flow" fault cleared back on route, happened lots of times 4.5hr journey took 9hrs, had tickets for Commonwealth Games so wasn't waiting around for a few days for Ford to decide if they actually care enough about their customers..... took car on Monday to Evans Halshaw in Edinburgh, who said it would have to be left with them for a couple of days, they'd never heard of this fault before, so I bought a new air filter from Halfords, drove back today no problems, will be contacting Ford tomorrow.
