Yes the important point is as above, is it being used regularly. In winter if the air con isnt used at least once a month the seals on the compressor/pump can stick to the shaft. When the air is then switch on the seals tear and allow the gas to escape. If you manged to us it OK since winter then while it may still be lack of gas it could also be something else.
Check your manual, does it say you should switch the aircon on occasionally, the manul used to. If it doesnt then if the dealer says it wants regassing, ask why and where has the orignal gas gone if it isnt a leak in the system? Persist that it shouldnt have leaked.
