Subject: What would be a credible alternative to the Kuga?

Lexus have a new model coming out soon the NX its a mid range SUV. If Ford really trys they could match on ability and equipment. But quality I am not so sure. The build quality of my May 2014 Kuga matches BMW and Audi I have owned, so they can do it if they try.
