I'd almost agree, but urban and combined give the same mpg in my case, around 38/39mpg. I know I keep quoting this, but if the official figures which are there for comparison are the same between two vehicles then you'd be right in expecting the same comparable real world figures. Again repeating myself the Honds CRV in combined says it gives 47mpg and real world figure are around 46. My old Mondeo official was 47.9mpg and I was getting mid 40's and if I drove at any length on country road at 50 or 60 the mpg easily got over 50mpg. If the official figures for the Kuga showed low 40s for Combined, I'd have gladly accepted this as it's a 'suv' though I'd be disappointed it didnt rival my alternate choice the CRV.

On a sobering note we know that driving at anything over 70mph in the Kuga will see your mpg drop to the low 30's or lower, but last week as a passenger on a round trip to London of 280 mile via the A1 in a 5 week old Freelander with 1500 mile on the clock the car was full tanked on setting off and refilled immediately on our return and the consumption was 39mpg. 200 of those miles were traveled mostly at a 90mph. I wasnt impressed with the driving speed by the way or the Freelander, but I was impressed with the mpg.
