We have had same problem with tailgate. It even opened itself when driving.

We have had same problem with tailgate. It even opened itself when driving.
Asked advise from local dealer and they told that new software is available.
I don't know how how old your Kuga is but last August situation was this. After software update we have had no problems with tailgate
