Modifications : Retro fitting reversing sensors

Have just ordered my new Kuga (2.0TDCI FWD ginger Ale Titanium) but without the parking sensors as there was no vehicle available in stock with that configuration.  I have a couple of questions:

1) Do any 'post build' parking sensors interact with the Kuga's displays as with Factory installed Sensors (i.e. mute the radio and show a 'radar' on the display)?

2) Am I right in thinking that the correct mounting for the parking sensors is in the 'unpainted' section of the bumper on the MK2 (unlike the Mk1)?
