It happened to mine 2/3 of way throgh a long trip but luckily a dealer at the destination end was able to reset it and it has not done it since (over 15,000k now).My own dealer had one like that when it hit the showroom and traced the problem (as far as they could tell) to a bad battery connection. Their theory was that a poor electical connection was causing electrical noise and consequently the sensors/computer were getting false readings. On strength of that they pulled apart and redid all my battery connections, just in case.
