Mk2 General Discussion : Mk2 order lead times inc info on delays

This happened to me last year, my car was taxed from 1 May 2017 but it wasn't ready to collect from the dealer until 21 June, this meant that I had to pay 12 months duty for 10-1/2 months use of the car.

I was told by the dealer that the reason for this was that car couldn't pass through the factory gate until it had been taxed.

Coincidentally I have just set up my new tax schedule today, starting 1 May 2018 to end of April 2019.
