That's the issue with the dual channel cameras- you need a lot of cable length to install them properly. I wouldn't advise tucking it into the trim above the doors as your curtain airbags deploy from that area and it could get "interesting " if the worst was to happen. It's bad enough having to run the cable up the A pillar near the air bag, but at least that trim is easy to remove for access and you can see the bag to route the cable behind it.
If you can get an extension cable go for that option.
PS: Thanks for posting that info up. I had a lengthy discussion with a dual camera maker on the length of 6m not being long enough (to go via the floor and avoid curtain air bags.) He tried to tell me his installer did a new Mazda CX-9 that way and had plenty of length left over!
I knew that was a load of bull.
