![]() Here I am weeks from my message about going abroad in the mk2 which is due in May. I'm surprised......actually let me ask. As anyone been abroad in the new kuga and had any issues. Did you give it any thought about driving on the right. Ford still cannot answer my question!!!!!! I've made a valid point that needs an answer. I mentioned to the dealer that it was our intention to drive abroad and that was why we're buying it. If they can't sort it, would I have any right under the sale of goods act to cancel the order and get my deposit back. As it's not fit for purpose. I asked mr ford if I was to be fined would he pay the bill and I was told not to be "silly" Any sensible offerings welcome. |
I thought it had been answered on the previous page courtesy of another KOC member?:
![]() Right - I seem to have got to the bottom of this one - courtesy of the Service Manager of Allen Ford of Coventry. He raised a Global Concern with Ford Uk on my behest on Friday. He rang me today to notify me that Ford Uk Technical say - There is no necessity either in law or practice to adjust the headlights on a Kuga Mk 2 Xenon when travelling abroad on holiday, only if the vehicle is permanently exported. It's a bit odd that the Brand Manager did not tell us this last week. |
Re the 'not fit for purpose' aspect I suspect you might have a battle on your hands and it wouldn't surprise me if the corporate response was along the lines of something like: "technically the vehicle meets the required specifications for the UK where the vehicle was registered and purchased."
If the suggested call to Ford 'customer service' doesn't provide you with the answer you require put a call into Citizens Advice would be the next best suggestion.
