![]() Hi Jamie, That's a coincidence, over the past week or so I've also had the same message about the camera not being available, when if fact it was working fine as soon as I put the car into reverse. That particular message never appeared when the camera first went skewiff, so I think it's a bit of a red herring so to speak. To date, the camera has faulted about four times now with the multiple images, always when it's been damp, but it soon clears up when the temperature picks up. Another occasional problem I have is when I press the start button - normally the engine starts when the button is pressed in, but now and again nothing happens, then when I release the button, the engine fires up. Not a big problem, just a bit odd, but I've got used to the quirkiness of Fords jiggery pokery, as our Fiesta sometimes comes up with an Engine Malfunction message if you start it too quickly, when in fact it runs perfectly. It's as if the car(s) need to do a system check before you start the engine - not much use if you want to use them as get away cars! The Kuga will be going in for the camera job soon, as I intend to get the first service done at the same time, so I'll let you know how I get on. Cheers, Trev. |
The failure to start is that on cold mornings Trev? I noticed this on mine where it seems to wait for the glow plugs to warm up before starting/turning over, whereas on my Mondeo, press the button and it always immediately started/turned over, without waiting for the glow plugs to heat up.
