![]() We all know our Kuga's are great cars , we wouldn't have bought them if they weren't But I would be surprised if any of us would say they were perfect so what's our collective biggest ford kuga mk2 gripes? For me, only having had the car since September the list isn't probably as large as some but still niggling PIA's as far as I can see - some big, some not so big 1) fuel economy - my 163bhp tit tdci awd is getting approach 32.5mpg around town. Very very poor! Especially when I was getting 30mpg from a 300tdi Discovery 8 years ago and that had perms ant 4wd and a low ratio box - so much for improved technology from Ford Even my mk3 tdci mondeo was getting around 50 on the same route so it's not my driving style 2) flat spot - there's a massive flat spot in the rev range every now and again - looks like a poor attempt at getting the tdci through emmision controls, either that or someone can't work a calculator to match turbo size to throughput, my guess is the former 3) interior lights - why oh why have ford released a "premium" vehicle with interior lights (footwell glovebox etc) that are nothing more than holes cut in the linings? Seriously how much can a few interior lenses actually cost in production? 4) exterior badges - having to pay extra for model designation and tdci badges- seriously???? Difficult to comprehend how low the accountant that made that decision was trying to cut costs! 5) synch/electronics - why fit a system to a car that's little more than I Microsoft "work in progress" like ALL their software it's full of bugs, keeps resetting and generally faffing about with itself Best stop for now or I'll wonder why I have this parked on my drive lol Any others with comments/contributions? |
