What would be a credible alternative to the Kuga?...........How very dare you! ![LOL LOL]()
My Mk I is coming up to being 3yrs old end of April but it only seems like yesterday when the order was put in at local Ford dealer, and in that time there has been many new SUV's produced with some nice exterior features and those that have plenty more tech inside, but do I like any of them? No.
The Range Rover Evoque has really been the only SUV that me & the missus would go for if we were going to replace the Kuga, but parked side by side the Kuga is bigger. Yes, the Evoque may be more luxurious inside, but we'd have to pay £15-20k more to get it.
In hindsight I maybe wish I'd gone for the Titanium X, but at the time couldn't justify the extra £4k (I only wanted the Xenon headlights and leather interior), but Ford's inflexible options packages meant I'd have to have the panoramic roof I didn't want, so the Titanium it was.
So basically we've decided to stick with what we have. The Mk I is the only SUV with a split tailgate (I know it's not the be all and end all but I really like the feature and use it a lot). It'll be paid off in a little over 12 months, has just over 17k miles on the clock and does just exactly what I ask of it. Apart from needing a little more power and better fuel economy (but going to get a remap soon to sort that out).
Cheers,
