MK2 General Discussion : Faulty Reversing Camera

A little bit of an update. I rang the dealer today, mainly to let the service manager know about how my camera situation had cleared up. We're still going ahead with replacing it when the new kit arrives in a week or so, as it is indeed a modified camera and loom assembly with additional waterproofing and grommets. The issue has been raised by Ford as a technical bulletin, and the kit has a completely different part number to the basic reversing camera part number. I asked if they had had any problems with the Mk2 Kuga in particular, and they had done two Mk2 cars previously. 

Once installed by them, the new camera is then sealed up, over and above what is done on the production line in accordance with the technical bulletin. I'll let you all know how things go once I've had the job done.
